The Regular Membership Meeting is held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse. The General Meeting is your opportunity to be heard. If you can not attend and still feel a need to be heard, please call President Larry Walker at 863-336-1074. If you have a comment, regardless of nature, we encourage you to call. There are no meetings in June, July and August.

Your Ward Director is your representative in matters concerning code violations, crime watch, road conditions, etc. They can also assist you with meeting information and other general questions. If you do not know your Ward number, please click here. Find your street name on the list and the corresponding Ward number.

2010 Placid Lakes Blvd. Office hours Friday, by appointment only 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Property owners within the Sun 'N Lakes Recreation District are all automatically members of the Property Owners of Sun 'n Lakes of Lake Placid Recreation District Inc. which is not a Home Owners Association. We have different rules which govern us because we are a Special Benefits District. Our property owners pay a $25.00 annual assessment to Highlands County for the upkeep of and additions to our Park and Clubhouse. There are Recreation District rules for the use of the Park only, which are on file with the County, but our neighborhoods must follow Highlands County ordinances.  Code Enforcement at 863-402-6641 should be called to report any problems there. We do not pay any Association dues and all residents are welcome to attend the General Meetings to share their ideas and suggestions, although only owners within the District may vote. Each owner has one vote regardless of how many properties are owned. Board Meetings may also be attended but speakers must be on the Agenda.
