Highlands County Solid Waste Requirements (revised June 2020)

Collection Holidays:   There is no garbage pick up on New Years Day, Fourth of July, Christmas Day, or Thanksgiving. We are only affected for those that fall on a Monday. Pick up will then be on the next day (Tuesday).

Garbage Collection:   Garbage will be picked up once weekly on Monday, The blue trash cans and green recycle cans are to be at curbside facing front by 7 AM and must be at least 4 feet apart from each other and any stationary object. This facilitates the automatic pick-up. Both Bulk Waste ( furniture, mattresses, etc.) and Yard Waste ( tree limbs, leaves, etc) are now picked up on alternating Mondays. NOTE: THE LIDS ON BOTH CANS MUST BE COMPLETELY CLOSED OR THEY WILL NOT  BE PICKED UP AS

Yard Debris: (vegetation, branches, limbs, grass clipping etc) Collected every other Monday.. Yard debris must be in a can, bagged, or tied in a bundle of no more than 100 pounds and a maximum length of 6 feet per bundle!

Note: The maximum amount that the hauler is required to pick up is 2 cubic yards. Please contact your hauler for additional information.

Tires, Oil, Batteries, and Appliances:  Picked up on a CALL in Basis Only! Call (863) 655-0005.These services are provided at no additional cost with the exception of TIRES.

Non Acceptable curbside items:  Paint, Pesticides, Chemicals of any kind.  

Concrete, dirt:  Deliver to the Landfill!

General Membership meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse.
Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Southwest Florida Water Management District Watering Rules
(updated June 2020)

Lawn watering schedules and times:

Lawn watering is limited to twice per week.

Even addresses may water on Thursday and/or Sunday before 10 A.M. or after 4 P.M.

Odd addresses may water on Wednesday and/or Saturday before 10 A.M. or after 4 P.M.

Landscape watering schedule and times:

Hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants (other then lawns) can be done on any day and at any time.

New lawns and plants:

New lawns and plants have a 30-30 establishment period, which allows any-day watering during the first 30 days.

During the second 30 days (from day 31 thru day 60), watering is allowed every other

Even-numbered addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday; odd-numbered addresses may water Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Monthly Dinners at the Clubhouse (ON HOLD)

Our monthly dinners are held at the Clubhouse at 6 p.m. on the 3rd Saturday of each month through April. Please contact any Board Member for tickets at $8 each until the Friday before the dinner date. Click on " Association" for a list of members and their telephone numbers.

Sunny Breakfast (ON HOLD)

Our Sunny Breakfast will be served at the Clubhouse on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Limited number of activities have resumed

A limited number of activities at the clubhouse will continue during this Pandemic following the CDC guidelines regarding masks and social distancing. The new weekly schedule follows:

Line Dancing – Tuesdays, 10 - 11 a.m.

Town Hall Meetings

Several Town Hall Meetings have been scheduled at the Clubhouse to discuss the Park.

Monday, September 13th at 6 p.m. - Highlands County Commissioner Kathy Rapp attending.

Please note: The Meeting previously scheduled for Friday, September 10, 2021 has been cancelled. Commission Chair Scott Kirouac will attend the Monday, September 13 meeting along with Kathy Rapp and others.

COVID situation calls for cancellations and changes

Because of high covid numbers, Breakfast and Dinners in Sept. are canceled.

The Tuesday, Sept. 14 General Meeting will be held via Zoom. The Board of Directors will continue to monitor the Covid situation and make decisions, on activities, on a month to month basis.
